大学生・大西拓也（伊東慶馬）は、今は亡き両親の家にひとり暮らし。電子工学の研究者だった母がその家を実験台にして作ったAIマキ（声・嶋梨花）が、彼の生活管理をしている点を除けば・・・。ある日、拓也は恋人の由香里（齋れいな）を家に招くが、AIマキの存在に違和感を覚える。由香里は「機械には人間の気持ちは理解できない」と拓也に疑問を投げかける。一方、AIマキは、拓也に由香里と付き合うのはまだ早いと諭す。拓也はそんなAIマキに疑問を持ち始める・・・。
